增距镜也称远摄变距镜，它是一个安装在镜头和照相机机身之间的光学附件，是把焦距延长至2倍或1.4倍的镜头附属装置。远摄增距镜具有不同的放大量。一只2×远摄增距镜能够使影像的大小加倍，也就是说，安装它以后可以使镜头的焦距有效地加倍。如果把远摄增距镜附加在50mm镜头上，得到的影像会和100mm镜头所拍摄影像大小一样；
